PHARA Scores a Hat Trick with Third Consecutive Great Place to Work® Certification

PHARA Community Services is proud to announce that it has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work® for the third consecutive year, based on direct feedback from employees through an extensive and independent survey process conducted by Great Place to Work® Canada.

The recognition highlights PHARA’s continued commitment to building a positive, supportive, and people-first workplace that empowers employees to grow while delivering exceptional service to the community.

This year’s achievement marks a hat trick of success for PHARA, reaffirming its reputation as one of Northern Ontario’s most trusted and respected community service organizations.

“It has been wonderful to see the PHARA team come together, grow as a unit, and embrace our goals for delivering the best health care and housing services in North Bay and surrounding communities,” said Nicole Yandernoll, Manager of Human Resources, PHARA Community Services. “Winning the Great Place To Work® Canada certification for a third year in a row shows that others have noticed our dedication to each other and to everyone we serve. It makes me really proud.”

The Great Place to Work® Certification is based entirely on what employees say about their workplace experience. To qualify, organizations must meet strict benchmarks in trust, teamwork, leadership, and workplace culture. Receiving this recognition for three consecutive years reflects PHARA’s unwavering focus on creating an environment where staff feel valued, respected, and inspired to make a difference.

PHARA’s services which include housing support, assisted living, and community-based care, rely on collaboration, compassion, and communication. Leaders across the organization continually invest in training, staff wellness, and opportunities for growth, ensuring every employee has the resources and encouragement to succeed.

“I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone on the front lines at PHARA,” added Yandernoll. “Personally, it is a pleasure to work with you, and professionally it means a lot to know that you’re making a difference in the lives of people and promoting independence for all.”

Throughout the past year, PHARA has expanded its training programs, enhanced workplace safety measures, and introduced new initiatives designed to strengthen team engagement. The organization’s leadership believes that a supportive and inclusive workplace culture directly translates into higher-quality care and stronger community connections.

“Being recognized again as a Great Place to Work is more than a badge of honour, it’s a reflection of our people,” said Yandernoll. “Every day, our staff go above and beyond to support clients, families, and one another. This certification is proof that when people feel valued, they deliver extraordinary results.”
