SUMMER STUDENT POSITION - INDEPENDENT LIVING ASSISTANT
(ASSISTED LIVING CAMPUS OR OUTREACH PROGRAMS)
Temporary Part-Time Contract; $23.87 - $25.02/hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Independent Living Assistant, you will support clients of a variety of ages, including young adults to seniors, by assisting them with activities of daily living and support services, including personal care and personal hygiene, homemaking, and mobility.
In the Assisted Living Program, you will work from PHARA’s 200 Oakwood Avenue, 280 Oakwood Avenue, and 122 Massey Drive sites.
In the Outreach Program, you will drive to clients’ homes in the North Bay and surrounding areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
A valid G2 or G driver's license and a personal vehicle with valid insurance (required for the Outreach Program).
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts. (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
Experience in working with people with differing physical abilities.
Experience in providing personal care and assisting in activities of daily living.
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Paid travel time and paid mileage ($0.70/km for first 5000 km; $0.64/km after 5000 km)
Overnight shift premium ($1/hour from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
